Endovenous laser ablation is performed on the saphenous and truncal veins in the legs. ELT is a recent FDA-approved procedure done with no surgery, no downtime, and it is performed in our Jupiter and Wellington offices. In fact, in a recent research study, it was found that endovenous laser ablation has a 98 percent success rate.

How is Endovenous Laser Ablation Performed?

The laser procedure is performed on the deeper varicose veins. This procedure only requires the use of a local anesthetic to numb the area of the leg. Guided by the ultrasound, Dr. Goldman inserts a laser fiber into a catheter in the abnormal vein. The laser fiber is used to seal the vein to relieve the pressure and backflow.

The laser procedure takes less than an hour in, and is performed in our Jupiter or Wellington offices. Often times, the laser treatment replaces the older method of surgically removing the vein. Dr. Goldman has done thousands of these procedures, all with excellent results.

How Much Does Endovenous Laser Ablation Cost?

What Can I Expect After Treatment?

There is no downtime with this procedure, so you can go back to your normal routine. Since Dr. Goldman will numb part of the leg, it is not recommended that you drive up to 24 hours after treatment. Some bruising and swelling may occur, but this should subside shortly. Most Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter and Wellington endovenous laser ablation patients recover very well from the laser treatment, and any pain can be lessened with plenty of walking and gentle analgesics.
